It all started back in September 1974, I took a ride with my new best friend Rich Schad to Sea Isle City to stay at his parents beach house for the weekend. I had been spending my summers in Ocean City with my family for years, but this, was a totally new place for me. I fell in love with the town and the characters in it, by 1976 I was a full time resident playing in the band at Braca’s and working on a local party boat, swinging a hammer, or whatever work opportunity came up to make a few bucks to pay the bills and keep a smile on my face. I took a job in the family business in the early 80’s, saving enough to buy my first home in town in1991. Dad had enough and wanted to retire in 1995 so we sold the family business and I moved on working as a mate on a charter boat and fished my way around the southern parts of Florida and the Keys, The Bahamas, and The Caribbean, and so on, all while still playing in various local rock bands.
I started my real estate career in 1997 after spending 14 years in outside sales of highway construction products. Prior to that I was employed as a framing carpenter, hot and shingle roofer, drywall installer, hung vinyl siding, built decks, ran HVAC ducting, did concrete work, as well as diesel and outboard mechanic. In between all these other things, I was and still am a working musician. I was licensed in real estate in 1993 after purchasing my first home and wanting to better understand the real estate market. I started my Real Estate Appraisal career in 1995. After taking the necessary courses, I became an apprentice working for several local appraisal firms figuring it went hand in hand with real estate and only add to my knowledge and understanding of real estate and the marketplace. I became a licensed appraiser in early 2007 and obtained my FHA credential three months later. I became a state certified appraiser in late 2008. I am dedicated to doing the little things and cover all details in a timely professional manner, continue to educate myself to improve my skills, and offer a level of expertise and customer service few others can provide. I’m talking about straight forward, honest hard work, without any smoke and mirrors, and, a damn good set of ears. That’s right, you must hear and understand client needs, and be ready to do what it takes to get them the absolute best value for their money when buying and bring them the best money for their home when selling.
When I am not selling or appraising real estate, I enjoy boating and fishing. I love the outdoors, biking, traveling, good food and drink, and just the simple life we enjoy here at the shore. My great passion is fishing. I love being on the ocean. It is an awesome and beautiful part of nature and the greatest form of relaxation bar none. I fish with my friends, year around in various places traveling sometimes very far to pursue our passion. I am just as at home in the tidal waters behind our beautiful island. I enjoy taking folks for a boat ride to see the island from a different perspective. I love my home and want to share all of its great qualities with one and all. This is a great place to hang your hat either for a vacation or a lifetime,
